Texas Chainring Massacre Rescheduled to 5/8
FROM: Texas Chainring Massacre with Denton Dash Preliminary
————————————————-
The Texas Chainring Massacre is officially postponed. We are having flooding issues throughout the route. We’ve already received more than 3″ of precipitation overnight and more is expected. While this was considered an “all weather” event rider safety is our primary concern.
We will issue updates when we have a firm idea of what the make up date might be. Right now it is tentatively 5/8 but that is TENTATIVE. The good news is that now we have time to order t-shirts for all participant who have already registered.

I am interested, this does sound fun…however, I’m a roadie, no Mt. bike – will my road bike work? I ride some pretty rough roads, sometimes. I guess what I’m asking is, is this like a Roubaix race, or is this more of a Mountain Bike race?
Just curious!
Thanks for any response – I look forward to your reply.

When and Where will the packet pickup be for the Chainring Massacre on Sunday the 21st?
Jeff, sorry about not getting back to you sooner. I didn’t receive notice of your comment. The Massacre could be done on a road bike with FAT tires. 30mm at least would be suggested if your bike can take ‘em. It’s really designed with CX bikes as a minimum in mind though. There are some good pavement sections and some of the dirt roads are smooth but there are some big, chunky gravel roads as well.
Packet pick up will most likely be at Mad Duck Cyclery some evening next week. I expect to have those details posted by tomorrow.
Packet pick up will be at Mad Duck 3/19 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
